Travel-less month and why it's not all so bad

As we are all stuck at home, probably for weeks now, there are few people who's (life) plans didn't change. It's true my days in aren't much different from my other days and that I still have a long way to go before truly getting bored, but as a big travel addict, my home-bound started with the cancellation of a trip. This is also my first time in years that I didn't travel somewhere for a whole month, but despite initial disappointment, looking back at my previous years' plans I realized how lucky I truly am. Here's my trip down the memory lane and all the experiences I'm thankful for that I would miss on if this situation happened a year or two before.

  1. Traveling is one of the things that I'll surely miss but every time I look back at my old travels I feel blessed that I get to experience and make memories before all these things happened. Your travels got me! I've always wanted to travel to Europe (I haven't been to any European country) but I guess the next time that I'll plan for a trip abroad will be after 2 years already.

    Stay healthy! :)

  3. Love this! I completely agree about doing different things - and new experiences to make you feel fulfilled. That's what is hitting hardest at the moment. I am someone who gets very restless and can easily feel like time is being wasted. So I'm making sure that I make progress in other areas - even if it's just little steps. One thing I am really enjoying is making lists of all the things I want to do when this is over.

  10. You've been to some lovely places, it's a good time at the moment to look back at where you've been and look back over at your memories! It must be strange not being able to travel if you're so used to doing it all the time, making a list of future places to travel to could be something exciting to do!

  13. I tried commeting on this post a few times but every time something happens with my connection or something and my comment gets lost, oh well maybe this time is the charm. I agree with you, it is nice to think of the places we visited. I only do local travel but I still miss it. It was fun seeing you talk about your travel experiences.

  24. It's so disheartening to have to cancel plans. I had a destination wedding in July to attend and was so looking forward to that but sadly it's been cancelled and postponed for either next year or the year after. It does suck, but we're all going through such extremes right now and we have to look towards the future and stay safe in the meantime. Plus it's always so wonderful to go back and reminisce on past travels too!
